Modern snowboard bases can be serviced either by machine or by hand.
Machine servicing is faster and restores the base structure, while handwork extends the board's lifespan and ensures better glide over time.
If you board occasionally, a machine service is sufficient — but if you snowboarding often or plan to race, hand service is the best choice.

How Often Should You Service Your Board?

Snowboard bases and edges wear down regularly and must be maintained just as regularly.

The more you ride, the more often you need sharpening and waxing.

• If you snowboard daily, visit the service once a week.
• If you snowboard on weekends, once a month is enough.
• If you snowboard rarely, visit at least at the start and end of each season.
